JDA has been led by the expertise and counsel of our Board of Directors:

James D. Armstrong, Chairman of the Board

Co-founded JDA Software in 1985 and serves as Chairman of the Board.
Founded JDA Software Services Ltd. of Canada in 1978, which grew to be one of the largest Canadian IBM Midrange software firms. Sold the Canadian company in 1985 when he formed the U.S.-based JDA Software and then re-purchased it in 1996.
Previously held operations, programming, and management positions in varied business environments.
Member of the Arizona State University Foundation Board of Trustees.
Studied engineering at Ryerson Polytechnic Institute located in Toronto, Ontario.
The Armstrong Family Foundations, founded in 1996 by Jim & Jo-Ann Armstrong, have donated over $5 million to more than 60 non-profit, educational and services organizations.

Orlando Bravo, Director

Joined Thoma Cressey Equity Partners at its formation more than 25 years ago. As Managing Partner has led or co-led seven software buyouts with an aggregate enterprise value of roughly $2 billion; worked to close 17 add-on acquisitions with an aggregate enterprise value of $1 billion.
Built software investment portfolio with aggregate revenue of $1.5 billion and EBITDA of $400 million.
Serves as a Board Director of Activant Solutions, Inc., Made2Manage Systems, Inc. and Datatel, Inc.
Previously served as Chairman of the Board of Prophet 21, Inc., and Director of VECTORsgi, Inc. and worked in Mergers & Acquisitions at Morgan Stanley & Co., New York.
Education: M.B.A., Stanford Graduate School of Business; law degree, Stanford Law School; undergraduate degrees in Economics and Government, Brown University.

J. Michael Gullard, Director

With 28 years of hands-on experience working as Silicon Valley technology company executive, currently serves as General Partner of Cornerstone Management, a provider of strategic counsel to technology companies primarily in software and data communications.
Has held a variety of financial and operational management positions at Intel and served as CFO and CEO of Telecommunications Technology, Inc.
Currently serves as Director and Chairman of Micro Focus Group, as well as Director and Chairman of NetSolve, Inc. Also a board member of a private software company and has formerly served on the board of several high tech companies.
Education: B.A. and M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Douglas Marlin, Director

Served as President and principal owner of Marlin Ventures, Inc., a Canadian-based consulting firm and as President and Vice President of JDA Software Services, Ltd.
Prior positions include a variety of technical and development positions with IBM.
Currently on the Board of Directors of two Canadian high tech companies, Zed I Solutions, developer of hardware and software for real time industrial processmonitoring, and Aero-Mechanical Services Ltd., a provider of aircraft monitoring via internet updating a data base used for operational improvements. Also serves as a Director for privately held companies including Firetrace USA, LLP, a fire suppression technology company.
Education: B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Calgary.

Jock Patton, Director

Began distinguished career more than 30 years ago as an attorney at Streich Lang where he founded and headed the Corporate/Securities Law Practice Group. Other previous positions include President of StockVal, Inc. (sold to Automatic Data Processing), a SEC registered investment advisor and CEO of Rainbow Multimedia Group, Inc. (sold to THQ, Inc.), a digital entertainment producer.
Currently Lead Trustee, Valuation Committee Chair and Executive Committee member of the over 60 mutual funds comprising the ING Funds and GCG Funds groups. Total assets under management of such groups exceed $30 billion.
Serves as Lead Director of Hypercom, Inc. and a Director of ASARCO, Incorporated. Has also served on the boards of a number of public and private companies, including America West Airlines, Inc.
Education: Undergraduate and law degrees from the University of California.
