In response to your comments and requests at
previous Client Steering Committee (CSC)
meetings, JDA Software is pleased to announce a
streamlined feature request voting process. This
new process is being initiated for the Fall 2006
CSC events. Please review this document for
important information and deadlines.
What has changed?
The
most significant change requires a global
feature request pre-vote to be conducted prior
to the CSC meeting. Most JDA (formerly
Manugistics) products will adopt this pre-vote
process. The pre-vote process is open to all
licensed, maintenance-paying client companies
and will be conducted via the Internet.
Attendance at a CSC event is not a requirement
to participate in the feature request pre-vote,
meaning that all our clients now have the
opportunity to influence the product
direction.
The global pre-vote will be used to determine
the Top 15 feature requests for each product.
Some slight variations may exist to this general
rule due to product characteristics and these
will be fully communicated at a later date.
Why the change?
It was
difficult to review all open feature requests
during the limited time at CSC. The purpose of
the pre-vote is to identify those feature
requests that are considered by our client base
to have the highest level of importance and to
spend more time discussing these requests as a
group at CSC. Please note that all open feature
requests as of August 25, 2006 will be eligible
for the pre-vote process.
Important note voting for the Top 6
features requires attendance at a CSC meeting!
The Top 15 feature requests from
the global pre-vote will make it into the next
round of voting. These feature requests will be
discussed and voted on at the CSC meetings
resulting in a global Top 6 feature request
listing.
Only those companies that participate at a
Client Steering Committee event are eligible to
vote for the Top 6 feature requests.
There will be two client events in the fall:
North American CSC meeting starts October 23,
2006 and the European JDAConnect 2006 meeting
starts November 14, 2006. Please see the JDA
website (www.jda.com) for complete event
information and registration instructions.
How will the global feature request
pre-vote work?
Your company will be
given a URL, username and password, and asked to
log your votes during the defined voting period.
JDA will capture your votes using its
Manugistics Transport Request for Quotation
(RFQ) application. This online bidding tool will
facilitate the entire pre-vote process for each
of the following products: Carrier, Collaborate,
Demand, Freight Payment, Foundation (general
technical), Fulfillment, Market Manager, Master
Planning, Monitor, MRO, MTO, Procurement,
Reporting, Routing, Sequencing, Strategy, and
Transport.
The following pre-voting rules will apply:
- Each company will have
one ballot for each licensed product
- A maximum number of 15
votes can be applied to any one product (you may
chose not to use all 15 votes)
- Votes cannot be weighted, meaning that one
vote is equal to one point
What are the key dates for the voting
process?

collaborate with others in your company to
determine your voting strategy.

voting process, please contact Jayne Marchesan
(jayne.marchesan@jda.com) or your Process Work
