Key Capabilities of JDA Order Promising™:

- 24/7 availability
JDA Order Promising provides you with the ability to accurately promise and reserve product for your key customers. The promising process is based on the customer, channel or geographic allocation strategies that you have defined. Order Promising can work with your existing order management system to allow your customer service representatives to work with a system they know.
Scarce orders cannot be promised on a first-come first-served basis, but require allocations so that you service your channels and customers appropriately. The Order Promising process starts with defining the customer and channel allocation strategy that governs your customer prioritization policies. Order Promising then waits to receive a customer order request. At this point, the web-native solution checks for product availability throughout your network. Because fast, accurate searches for product availability across the entire network are imperative, Order Promising can search upstream throughout the entire network for inventory in central warehouses or inventory that will be available through planned production to verify a commitment when the inventory is not available from the downstream location. Once a commitment has been verified, Order Promising allocates and reserves inventory for the most important or profitable customers or channels and defines a definite delivery date.
Order Promising is designed to work with any order management system, so that customer service representatives or other users who leverage the solution will require minimal training.
